Setting the Table

After adding cabinets to one side and a gallery wall to the other, I finally feel like my dining room is a place that I’d be happy to show off for the holidays.  So, for the first time EVER, I set the table for guests.  I have been finding so many great deals at Walmart, so I partnered with them again to create a simple setting that still packs a punch!

Whenever I start styling, there is always one or two pieces that give me inspo for the whole look.  For this look, it was the copper chargers and the matte black utensils that inspired me to go glam/rustic for this tablescape.  I love the warmth and hint of drama that these two things bring to the space.  I then paired it with a classic white dinner plate and basic wine glasses.

I already owned the napkins and the table runner, but have linked alternatives below.

Adding to the glam/rustic theme, I place a few selenite votive holders to add some earthiness, black candle holders like these to play off the utensils and then a hit of gold with cups similar to these to add another metallic pop.

I also think a floral centerpiece is a must for breathing life into a tablescape.  If you aren’t particularly adept at arranging flowers, just grab a bunch of eucalyptus and any white flower or berry, mix them together and call it a day!

This was really so simple to put together, and I am thrilled with how it turned out.  I have been so impressed with Walmart’s selection and amazing prices.  My items have been delivered fast and the quality has been great!

Now go and entertain those guests.  Or just set the table and stare at all its prettiness just because it makes you happy.

XOXO,

Erin
