My master bedroom is mostly off limits to the kids (as much as anything is really off limits in a home that wildlings inhabit). But I do try to keep our bedroom a neutral and calming space. I rotate between two rugs and a hundred different pillows since I truly love playing dress-up in here as my creative outlet.
