Pillow Talk

Pillows are the easiest thing you can swap out to instantly change the whole feel of a room.  Adding in colorful pillows when I painted by breakfast nook black made a would-be moody space feel playful and inviting.  But putting together pillow combinations can be challenging and where do you start your search when there are so many options?  From new to vintage textiles, I am listing a handful of my go-to pillow shops.  Each shop has some serious drool emoji selections going on.  Enjoy!

1.  Tonic Living

Tonic Living has a great contemporary selection and their down alternative pillow inserts are HANDS DOWN the best.  I will repeat, their pillow inserts are the best, fullest and fluffiest and karate-choppable inserts I have come across.

Tonic Living also has a beautiful selection of upholstered ottomans that come in kid-resistant performance fabrics (I have personally tested them out with wine and sharpie!).  They are firm and do not lose their shape.  Their custom foam cushions for banquette seating is another great option they offer and they have these bench cushions for the IKEA Kallax hack readily available.  Check out how it looks in my playroom!

2. One Affirmation

One Affirmation is run by a sister duo and offers a mix of vintage and designer pillows.  Great selection and great prices and I also love how they curate pillow combos for your bed or sofa in case you need help.

3. Cloth & Main

I adore the unique vintage selection that Cloth & Main is consistently churning out.  I used some of her pillows in my breakfast nook revamp and there is something about a vintage textile that can bring so much warmth and life into a space.

4. My Haven Home

Another great go-to for refreshing vintage designs.  Shop My Haven Home also offers pillow combo suggestions on her Instagram feed and you’ll want to follow along to find out when new pillows become available.

5. Danielle Oakey Shop

Danielle Oakey Shop has impeccable taste in pillows and in design.  I love checking out her designer pillow selection because they are beautifully curated and she offers ideas for pillow combos as well as sells them in sets.
